SPB-2500 is the European metric narrow wedge standard (16.3×13mm, Lp 2500mm), whereas 5V-1000 is the American RMA narrow wedge standard (15.9×15mm, 100 inches outside length). While close in size, they use slightly different groove profiles and should not be interchanged on the same pulley.
The minimum recommended pulley pitch diameter for Section SPB is 140 mm. Using pulleys below 140 mm increases bending stress and dramatically reduces belt fatigue life.
